In 1919 Andrew Hanson, a Swedish immigrant, moved his family of 7 into a two bedroom farmhouse in the Loess Hills of Woodbury County – Leeds, Iowa.

Surviving blizzards, droughts and depression, they milked cows, raised chickens and hogs, and grew corn, oats, hay and beans. Bill, a 3rd generation Hanson, remodeled and moved into the original farmhouse and in addition to crop farming, taught school and coached.

Let’s lift this glass of whiskey and toast the Hanson family, whose Courage, Integrity, Hard Work and Resolve made so many things possible. Enjoy!
