Cadden Corn to Whiskey
Cadden Farm
Poweshiek County, Iowa
Century Farm
The corn used to make this whiskey/bourbon was grown on a farm in Brooklyn, Iowa in 2024. The farm was purchased in 1923. A 1919 Ford Touring automobile was used for collateral. Grandpa farmed with a team of horses named Jake and Bess. In the thirties, he upgraded to a B John Deere. Today the farm is farmed by the third and fourth generations. Today’s farm involves raising hogs, cattle, corn, soybeans, and hay. Conservation and diversification remain at the forefront. While the farm looks different today from 1923, it is still the same in many ways.
Grandpa was also Irish! Enjoy!
