David Dieter is the present owner of Dieter Farms by Brewster MN.

The Dieter farm started in 1885 when the land was first owned by an aunt. The land was owned by her but not farmed until 1920 when David’s grandfather George Dieter broke the ground and started farming it. He raised corn hay and small grains and had horses, milk cows, hogs and chickens. David’s father Robert Dieter was born on the farm and started farming it, by then the milk cows and horses were gone and the farm was operated with tractors. He also raised sheep, first buying feeder lambs and finishing them and then having a ewe flock. He also fed beef cattle and had a farrow to finish hog operation.

After David was born the chickens were phased out and the cattle hog and sheep operations grew. Robert farmed his whole life continuing to assist with spring and fall work until he passed away in 2021. David and his son Justin are now operating the farm. The cattle, hogs and sheep are now phased out and the farm raises corn, soybeans and alfalfa.
