It’s 2025 and the update of our 154 year old farm story is very exciting. Matt still continues to sell and service the Pioneer brand seed products after 25 years and farms a total of 400 acres. Alisa will start her 14th year of teaching the third grade in Worthington, MN and does all the record keeping for the farm, hogs, and seed business. Nathan has recently started managing the farm hog operation along with starting a drone spray business with a friend in the area. He and his fiancé, Dr. Peyton Kuchenbecker, plan to be married September 6th, 2025. They reside in Brandon, SD and Peyton works for a dental office in Sioux Falls, SD. She recently graduated from dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Adam continues to work for Marmen Energy in Brandon, SD as an electrical maintenance technician. His work schedule of 5 days on and 5 days off allows him to help on the farm when he’s available. He and his fiancé, Maddie Schaefer, have a wedding date set in July of 2026. Maddie recently graduated from South Dakota State University with an Ag Business degree and is working full time for a bank in Larchwood, IA. Adam and Maddie reside in Brandon, SD as well. Matt’s parents Jim and Cindy Russell live in Bigelow, MN and are enjoying full retirement. Jim still helps plant, spray, and harvest at the farm every year. Nathan and Adam are renting 40 acres from their grandparents to have their own taste of the production business on the farm. Matt and Alisa will celebrate 30 years of marriage in 2026 and Jim and Cindy just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. Everyone is happy and healthy in the family and the future looks bright for the sixth and seventh generations to come on the Russell Family Farm. God bless you all!!!
